I AM CRAAYON

Actually my nephew named me that.  Either he couldn't say Carolyn or he just liked Craayon better.  I like it too.  Obviously.  More artistic.  Don't you think?

My seventh grade Librarian taught me to crochet.  I think that was her way of giving disadvantaged youths something constructive to do.  I can only tell her thank you.  Whatever her motivation was, it turned out great for me.  It did give me a creative outlet and a level of popularity with some of the girls who wanted a custom design.  I will never forget Kimberly.  I wish I still had those hot pants.

My enthusiasm came in spurts.  After I had children , mostly.  

Then one day I saw something in the store I wanted but didn't want to pay for.  Soooooooo

I had to make one.  Someone else liked what I did and wanted one.  And so on.  Then I had to go to a baby shower and wanted something special.  Baby set!
